Изложба PARABOLE*

ArtUP! – Медийни изкуства в България, Гърция и Турция, проект на
Гьоте-институт в трите страни, отправя отворена покана към художници от
България, Гърция и Турция да участват в новата изложба на медийни изкуства
на ArtUP! в България, наречена PARABOLE, с куратор Йово Панчев.

Проектът ArtUP!, в сътрудничество с художници от България, Гърция и Турция,
създава виртуални и трансгранични локални изложби на различни теми  като
пресечни точки на медийните изкуства. Целта на тези изложби е, темите да
бъдат поставени в регионален контекст и показани онлайн пред широка
международна публика.

Изложбата PARABOLE изследва новите локални градски легенди с намерение да
даде пространство за широка критическа рефлексия върху миналото, да
изобрази съвремието, изпълнено с движение, миграции и кризи, както и да
изследва бъдещите перспективи в България, Гърция и Турция.

Изложбата PARABOLE ще бъде представена между април и юни 2013 в няколко
художествени пространства в България, чрез поредица от откриващи събития,
които ще следват кривата на параболата. PARABOLE ще може да бъде видяна и
във виртуалното пространство на ArtUP!.

В изложбата може да участва всеки художник от България, Гърция и Турция,
който работи в областта на медийните изкуства.

ArtUP! - Media Art in Bulgaria, Greece and Turkey
Open call for media art submissions
Exhibition PARABOLE*

ArtUP! - Media Art in Bulgaria, Greece and Turkey, a project of the
Goethe-Institut in those three countries, is releasing an open call for
artists from Bulgaria, Greece and Turkey to take part in the new media art
exhibition entitled PARABOLE that will be held in Bulgaria and curated by
Yovo Panchev.

The project ArtUP!, in collaboration with artists from Bulgaria, Greece and
Turkey, is creating virtual and cross-border local exhibitions with
media-artistic connecting points on a diverse range of topics. The purpose
of this is to put them into a regional context and then to present them
online to a wider international audience.

The exhibition PARABOLE addresses new local urban legends, intending to
provide a wider critical reflection on the past, to depict the current
period of mobility, migration and crisis as well as to examine the future
perspectives in Bulgaria, Greece and Turkey.

The exhibition PARABOLE will be shown locally in Bulgaria in several venues
with opening events in time sequences, between April and June 2013, that
follow the shape of a parabole curve. The PARABOLE will also run on the
virtual exhibition space ArtUP!.

Any artist from Bulgaria, Greece or Turkey, whose artwork is media art
based, can apply for participation in the exhibition.

Deadline for submissions: 15th March 2013
