One of the largest supersonic objects in the history of atmospheric
flight will be landing back at the launch pad, creating a massive
sonic boom aimed at the ground. That is the boom I was referencing.
The upward boom during launch is irrelevant, as you suggest.
I've been boomed by a Falcon 9 landing and it was loud for a much
smaller vehicle.
