I commend Paul Vigay's "Task Setup" utility (it's 32-bit-safe). It
puts an extra item in the Configure dialogue, which neatly does just
what you describe.
   (a) disable or re-enable any item in Boot.Predesk or Boot.Tasks or
Resources just by ticking a box,
   (b) see what's currently ticked,
   (c) directly open the helpfile of any item that has one,
   (d) easily open the directory in question without hunting for it.
