It would be very nice and convenient if spotread would show sRGB values as well next to XYZ/LAB... It's obviously not critical, but convenient non-the-less...
Hmm. I understand, but it doesn't sit well in the functionality that spotread tries to provide (UNIX philosophy, have each tool do a limited job well, then combine them etc.). For instance, why sRGB rather than AdobeRGB ? (ie. it would need to be configurable). How would the conversion be done ? The spotread readings are generally absolute values, whereas sRGB values are typically normalized to the white point in both level and chromaticity. So it would only begin to make sense in spotread -dw mode. Some other conversion could be provided if a chromatic transform was specified, but this is starting to look pretty messy. So ideally spotread should be used in conjunction with (say) xicclu to get the functionality you want. This can be done manually using cut and paste, or batching the results (spotread logfile), but I'm not sure how it would be done interactively. Graeme Gil.
