You should figure on 4-5 seconds scanning time per row to avoid any
misreads. I can scan four letter size pages (1848 patches) in 15-20
minutes. The biggest issue is as Matthieu states, positioning the ruler but
once you get into the grove it goes smoothly. I would only consider a iSis
if you do lots of profiles or run a profiling business.

I'd say 10 to 15 minutes. It's not really a matter of instrument speed, but
more how precisely you manually position the ruler. Plus, remember to wait
two seconds before scaning a line to wait for the i1 light bubble to be
start.

Hi there,

I don't know whether I should buy the used iSis XL for aprox.
USD $2000 or a brand new i1 Pro without uv-cut for $1250...

How fast can an i1 read a target with about 1400 patches
buy using manual scanning (with a ruler etc.)?

Best regards,
Lars-Daniel
