I update to Ubuntu Hardy, now it's a little different :

sudo dispcal -v -y l -q l -o TargetA
Setting up the instrument
dispcal: Error - dispread failed with 'Instrument Access Failed'

Or, lsusb shows :
Bus 001 Device 005: ID 0971:2001 Gretag-Macbeth AG

ls -l /dev/bus/usb/001/005
crw-rw-rw- 1 root root 189, 4 2008-08-20 12:52 /dev/bus/usb/001/005

dispwin seems to work
spotread: Warning - Unknown, inappropriate or no instrument detected

Thanks,
Joe
