[argyllcms] average problems with i1 Pro readings

Hi all,
Here's a counter-intuitive issue with average I've found.

I've made five sets of readings from an X-Rite Mini ColorChecker with an i1 Pro
using Argyll v1.3.3.
My plan is to average these to get an idea of the variation in colour in five
Mini ColorChecker cards I've bought.

So I take five sets of measurements as .ti3 files using chartread with the .ti2
file for the ColorChecker (normal large size card) as an input.
./chartread.exe -v -c1 -p -L ../data/MiniColorChecker_Mean/MiniColorChecker3

I then try to use "average" to average some of these .ti3 files like so:
$ ./average.exe -v ../data/MiniColorChecker_Mean/MiniColorChecker1.ti3
../data/MiniColorChecker_Mean/MiniColorChecker2.ti3
../data/MiniColorChecker_Mean/mean1.ti3

And I get:
Averaging the following fields: XYZ_X XYZ_Y XYZ_Z LAB_L LAB_A LAB_B SPEC_380
SPEC_390 SPEC_400 SPEC_410 SPEC_420 SPEC_430 SPEC_440 SPEC_450 SPEC_460
SPEC_470 SPEC_480 SPEC_490 SPEC_500 SPEC_510 SPEC_520 SPEC_530 SPEC_540
SPEC_550 SPEC_560 SPEC_570 SPEC_580 SPEC_590 SPEC_600 SPEC_610 SPEC_620
SPEC_630 SPEC_640 SPEC_650 SPEC_660 SPEC_670 SPEC_680 SPEC_690 SPEC_700
SPEC_710 SPEC_720 SPEC_730
average: Error - File '../data/MiniColorChecker_Mean/MiniColorChecker2.ti3'
field no. 47 named 'Ç'R' doesn't match file
'../data/MiniColorChecker_Mean/MiniColorChecker1.ti3' field 'GretagMacbeth i1
Pro'

The files were all created in one sitting using chartread. I haven't modified
them in any way. This is with Win7 64 bit.

I've had similar errors when I've had files with UNIX and MS-DOS line endings
with other code in the past, but this shouldn't be an issue here.

I've tried averaging a file with itself and had the same result.

I can send some sample files etc. to see if anyone wants to have a look.

Regards,
Steven
