Mike, I have used colorport many times with a lot of success. For printer profiles make sure you use one of the larger patch sets if you are using a monaco patch set. Argyll really wants to see between 1000-2000 patches for printer profiles. I usally use the 1379 one. You can also use a Argyll patch set in colorport. Use targen to generate a ti1 file then in colorport create a new patchset and import the ti1 file, which will bring in the Argyll patches. I actually did try that a year or so ago, and failed. The resulting profiles were very puzzling - large delta E values and a very glitchy profile.
