Hi,
they're not really comparible - one does A3, the other does A2.
They are also vastly different in the ink colors they use. The 3880 uses
C M Y K lc lm lk llk . The R1800 Uses C M Y K R B + gloss coat.
The 3880 is a "Pro" machine, the R1800 is a consumer machine.
(I'd imagine the heads themselves are pretty similar though).
