Right, but if the LCD display backlight is not composed of R, G & B LEDs, then native white is what you get when the LCD panel is fully transparent. Changing the white point using the LCD panel will typically compromise the number of steps the display is capable of displaying, and sometimes a white point changed in this manner is more viewing angle sensitive than the native white point.
