It can't - the expectation is that installing a profile loads it as
well, and it can't be loaded correctly unless the calibration can
be loaded, and you can't load a calibration without access to
the VideoLUT.
The virtual machine has no VideoLUT and so the extension is not present.
I can fix it so that it won't fail in the case of installing a
profile that lacks a vcgt. Would that solve your problem ?
Yes, that would be a workaround. The profile will have to be stripped off
the vcgt tag.
