I answered a bit quickly before, Milan did a better job of explaining :) With laptops it's often a good idea to profile them at full brightness, since the maximum brightness is often relatively low... For example my laptop does about 200cd/m2 at full brightness. So I chose to calibrate all my home desktops to 200cd/m2 as well, and it's working quite well for me. Since 200cd/m2 is not too bright and decent for prolonged viewing. And it allows me to use the laptop for color critical work, and normal work (for example in bright environments) without having to constantly readjusted the brightness. It will always be a compromise though. As always, do a little experimenting and see what works best for you... Regards, Pascal de Bruijn
