Yes. Generally speaking of notebook LCDs, the white point and gradation are
usually way off from from the usually preferred characteristics.
The VGA LUT calibration is not magic but you can achive significant
improvements with dispcal.
The gamu coverage of these displays are usually smaller than sRGB, so the
ICM based color management can also help a bit with the saturation (with CMS
supported softwares).
