Arachne at FreeLists---The Arachne Fan Club! Sam and others experiencing mail "choking"... I sometimes have this problem, usually traced back to malformed email message subject and/or header lines. My solutions...I press ESC to stop the mail download... then go to Your Applications page where I have a few mail utilities to download the offenders for deletion, or you can also go the telnet route if comfortable with telnet commands. Presently, PopDump, one of the sample WATTCP apps included in the normal ZIP file of WATTCP, works quite well...I use a batch file... popdump wizard57m@xxxxxxxxxxxx mypassword > wizards.lst WIZ wizards.lst This simple batch puts ALL messages into one file, wizards.lst (my "list" of messages) and Wiz is a simple file viewer I threw together...sort of like the DOS "type wizards.lst|more" command... I also use ReadMail 4.1 to read individual mails, print to replies, etc. The other solution I've found useful is to shell to DOS via apps page and use NuPop or PopMail PC to download emails... I can make these available if desired! C U L8R!
