There was a bug, fixed about 1.73 or 1.75

When you first setup Arachne the video setup window should appear. Choose
whatever size you want. Then press F5 for screen size/type.
Not a bug but a choice. For example I always run standard at 800x600 but can
drop down to 640 or up to 1024 by keypress.

By fail you mean not on your hard drive or you forgot to press F2 to save?
They might have been in cache.

That was changed in mime.cfg. You have the option to set it the old way or new
method! Change the parameters of .zip in .cfg file.

Have a friend using 1.75 for years. Never a problem.

Scrolling method is set in Options, Preferences. The default may have
changed at a certain version level. I always change it. Video setup
discussed above. As for .zip files not completing download, do you think if
you could see the contents of a zip file it must already be on your
hard drive? I prefer the new method as can see what is in a zip file before
saving. Pressing F2 does the trick. For some newbie users I set
parameters in mime.cfg to not show contents. Save dialog appears immediately
after download. Your choice!

At some point believe lsppp.exe became default dialer. It is setup usually
with all parameters including namesevers on 1 line. Did you set the
dialer?

Are you using ctmouse included with arachne? Did you have virtual screens on?
Turn them off. Speed improves.

Were you using Device PRN or Print command. There was a form feed command
added to one, I modified slightly mime.cfg and prints fine.

1.87 worked fine. User is required to setup dial connection and video setup
has never been a problem on any version. First complaint about
it so it sounds like your method is missing something.

Hard to believe that users of 10 versions of software would not be able to save
anything. Press K for hotkey page or F1 click on Arachne
hotkeys. Says press F2 for save page. That includes .htm , image, zip files.
 Anything!

Using lsppp.exe requires nameserver info in same parameter line. Read
lsppp.doc for info. Or else use older eppp.exe dialer.

Were you ever in Options before trying to use software. Configuring the entire
software works much better than a few pieces.

No sluggish mouse ever experienced. Scroll is fine though suspect you have
yours set differently. What process are you doing to download
images? Never have used Ctl-P for downloading images. Press K for
hotkey/mouse info. It explains how to do images. If not clear someone
on list will explain how. Last couple weeks my v1.89 has slowed down.
Believe a fresh install using 1.90 will have it back to speed.
