Many thanks to Glenn When you first setup Arachne the video setup window should appear. Choose whatever size you want. Then press F5 for screen size/type. Not a bug but a choice. For example I always run standard at 800x600 but can drop down to 640 or up to 1024 by keypress. > After intensive testing, it turns out A171 does almost everything well and > fast. That was changed in mime.cfg. You have the option to set it the old way or new method! The default may have changed at a certain version level. I always change it. Video setup discussed above. As for .zip files not completing download, do you think if you could see the contents of a zip file it must already be on your hard drive? I prefer the new method as can see what is in a zip file before saving. Pressing F2 does the trick. For some newbie users I set parameters in mime.cfg to not show contents. Save dialog appears immediately after download. Your choice! > ARACHNE 181 GPL A181 would not run beyond dialing and waiting for the > Arachne.CZ URL. Are you using ctmouse included with arachne? Did you have virtual screens on? Turn them off. User is required to setup dial connection and video setup has never been a problem on any version. First complaint about it so it sounds like your method is missing something. > To test Graphics I went to a St. Helens Photo display where I was able to see > photos of Mt. St. Helens. Brian Murphy October 21, 2006 Hard to believe that users of 10 versions of software would not be able to save anything. Press K for hotkey page or F1 click on Arachne hotkeys. Says press F2 for save page. That includes .htm , image, zip files. Anything! > ARACHNE 189 GPL A189 refused to go to home at Arachne.CZ and also refused to > go to any other URL. A189 does not seem to Using lsppp.exe requires nameserver info in same parameter line. Read lsppp.doc for info. Or else use older eppp.exe dialer. > A190JGR1-387 GPL was very difficult to configure because it places in > Arachne.CFG quit a number of commands that do not work > properly. St. Helens. It also appears to me that it sometimes says "no > image to download" or words to that effect, when there is, in fact, > an image to download. No sluggish mouse ever experienced. Scroll is fine though suspect you have yours set differently. What process are you doing to download images? Never have used Ctl-P for downloading images. Press K for hotkey/mouse info. It explains how to do images. If not clear someone on list will explain how. Last couple weeks my v1.89 has slowed down. Believe a fresh install using 1.90 will have it back to speed.
