Maize Road, Wichita, Kansas, *March 1-2, 2013*. Hosts for the event include all four WDC churches in Wichita and the WDCImmigration Task Force. We are excited about teaming up with Mennonite Church USA and Mennonite Central Committee in bringing this extended Reference Council gathering because: - Immigration is a critical component in growing as a multi-racial, multi-ethnic fellowship of churches. - Immigration is a pressing peacemaking, justice seeking matter before us as a nation. - Immigration is a very personal matter to many pastors and members in Western District Conference churches. - Immigration is a significant focus for our gathering as Mennonite Church USA at Phoenix 2013. The key presenters and seminar guides for the event are: - Jason Boone, Coordinating Minister for the Peace and Justice Support Network of Mennonite Church USA - Saulo Padilla, Immigration Education Coordinator with MCC US - Tammy Alexander, Legislative Associate for Domestic affairs for MCC USin Washington D. C. Reference Council is specifically a gathering of the Western District Conference Executive Board, Commissions, Task Forces, Staff, and Pastors.
