Dear Ones, I'm sorry to let you know this so late-I thought you had been previously informed. My mom died on Sunday, March 9, 2003 at 1:35 PM at her home in rural Hubbard, Oregon surrounded by several of my brothers and sisters, the pastor and his wife. As she was dying she listened to a CD of my family, singing hymns. She drew her last breath as my brother was singing "Steal Away Home." I did not arrive home until 11:00 PM. Two of my nephews and I built her casket. Three of her grandchildren read a narrative biography at her funeral. Her children and grandchildren composing a choir of 30, sang several choral hymns.
