We still have a few places open and some scholarship money to help defray 
costs.  There's also a small discount for UT component employees and students 
who sign up with siblings or pals.

The UT Global Ethics and Conflict Resolution Summer Symposium for High School 
Students

June 15th to 28th. Participants can attend the full two-week program or come 
for either week. Activities differ.

This camp is a unique university program for high school students interested in 
talking about the world, conflicts, and ethics and in learning some skills of 
their own. It combines academics, service, research, and a taste of life at The 
University of Texas at Austin. Some of the activities will include: making 
videos, writing songs, making Internet public service ads, participating in 
university faculty lectures and workshops, meeting community and student 
leaders, and much more! Speakers will cover topics such as, Negotiation Theory, 
Music and Art, Civil Rights, Race, Ethnicity, Current Events, Individual 
Responsibility, and Community. The Summer Symposium combines excellent 
intellectual education, creative expression, and hands-on training in conflict 
skills.

Three meals per day and air-conditioned lodging in a private dormitory with a 
pool and all materials will be provided. Day students are also very welcome.

Fees range from $735-$1250. $50 discount for any UT component employee. Costs
