Subject: Need Wheelchair for 2 weeks
Gene Glazer, an 80+ year old WWII Veteran who served until last year on the
Board of Directors for Veterans For Peace is determined to join the March to
New Orleans (See http://www.vetgulfmarch.org/
Gene has been using a cane for years but is now having some muscle problems
in his lower legs. I am looking for a loaner wheel chair so that Gene has
the option of walking when he can and riding when he needs to. I need to
get the wheel chair on one of the three busses that are coming through
Austin this week. I want a manual rather than a motorized chair...due to
weight, etc.
Gene will use the chair on the last two days of the march only.
If you or someone you know can loan a chair...please let me know ASAP
