Slow the machine speed down to around 900 and either float a piece of good wax 
paper between the sewing arm and the material or place it on top and sew 
through it.

Too much speed builds heat and will melt the sticky backing glue. Using wax 
paper will help to lubricate the needle and keep the glue from 
sticking.....hope this helps you
