Oh! Thanks for posting the link, Ed, now I know what you are talking about. My Bernina bobbins (exact duplicates of the Amaya one, as far as I can tell, I guess I need to grab one and put it in my AMaya and see) have those. Maybe you could buy them from a Bernina dealer. I worked for one once, but don't remember if they are a spare part unto themselves.
Here's a DIY bobbin-winding question - can you reuse the empty cardboard bobbins to wind onto? I have two Bernina home sewing machines, on my older one the bobbin winder has stopped working, but the winder works fine on the newer one, and the little bobbin winding machines are pretty cheap on sale, so it seems I at least have the means. I also have a lot of colored thread bobbins to use up first, though - bought them at my favorite store, the thrift store.
