I deal with this exact problem almost daily.
Here's a great source for you:

The website is istockphoto.com. It's a stock photo site, where you can purchase
individual images at very affordable prices, and you don't run the risk of
copyright infringement. You can get both vector or raster images, some with the
background knocked out. There is a great selection, lots of colors and styles.
Some even have images already on them, just do a few different keyword
searches.
Just a tip, if you're using these for web purposes only, download the lowest
quality to save even more money (you don't need more than 72 ppi for web).
