Hi Tom,
Now that you mention it, it is both. I have more problems with the top
thread not trimming, but I do have issues with the short bobbin trim as
well. (the bobbin trimming so short that it will not pick up when the
machine begins to sew again) Any thoughts as to why this is happening?

Hi Barbara -
are you talking about short bobbins after trims
and/or the top thread not being held in the
grabber? If so, there are a few of us with this
issue and I've been told Melco is aware of this.
