That may help solve this problem. If the design is inside the dotted line shown on the screen when you hit the <start> button it should sew out without hitting the hoop. If the hoop limits are correct and enabled the machine will stop before the needle or pressor foot hit anything. There are several things you can do to make sure the hoop limits are correct for the hoop you are using. First, install the hoop with some scrap cloth, select the hoop and hit the "center hoop" toolbar button. Turn on the laser and mark the position of the dot with a Sharpie. Using a ruler, measure to make sure the mark is at the physical center of the hoop. Next move the rack using the arrow keys, the rack will not move past the hoop limits. Make sure the laser does not get closer than about 3/8" to the hoop. If it does you run the danger of hitting the hoop. What exactly happened when you traced the design? It sounds like there was a problem. Did you get an error? Also could be some other mechanical interference with the hoop that is causing the problem. Always, before sewing a design for the first time, do a trace and make sure it completes with no errors and that the laser spot does not get too close to the hoop. =========================================================== The AmayaUsers Mailing List Website: http://www.amayausers.com Discussion Board: http://www.amayausers.com/boards Subscribe/Unsubscribe: http://www.amayausers.com/list ===========================================================
