The "EMT" hoops are compatible but the "EMC" hoops are not.

Thanks for your input. Can an old EMC 10t's hoops really fit on the
Amaya or vis a versa?

Dean, Just know that all embroidery machines depreciate quickly. Not only the Amayas. Also, keeping in the Melco family will allow you to use all hoops on both machines. Not to mention files will easily be read by both machines too. Oh and some service techs will know both machines instead of having to deal with two companies. Tajima is a solid machine but consider the learning curve when dealing with two companies. You should already have previous experience with Melco so you know what to expect from them. Good luck to you. Ed

While you are on this topic, I'm ready to either lease a new Amaya or Tajima (forgot the model#)but what's the consensus on purchasing a used Amaya, considering how quickly the new ones depreciate in value? I already own a EMC 10T.

Anyone?

Dean

Might check www.embroideryyellowpages.com or Beacon Fundings site has machines on it as well. Wouldn't hurt to check into getting a refurbished machine from Melco. I have a friend who bought one as their 2nd machine and have had no problems with it at all :)

Which begs the question... Where is a good place to look for used Amayas?
