Margaret, If I understand this correctly, the fill direction is changing constantly like a second hand on a clock. If so, that's why you are getting the potato chip look. Digitize it as a complex fill so that you can keep the fill direction constant and then add a smaller satin stitch border to finish off the edge. Stitch length is 6 with 120% pull comp. Part Seq is 0123. I have used one and two layers of cutaway. The complete circle including the ring is 6 inches. It is a big design for a jacket back and no matter what I change the ring ripples. I would like to get this right before putting it on a jacket. Any assistance would be appreciated.
