Thank you Roland! These type of stories are so valuable to hear from other
"quality-minded" embroiderers. The shop near me -- selling. I'm getting
inquiries from their customers asking to do things at rediculous prices to the
point I just don't believe that they were really getting jobs done so cheap. I
tell them no, sorry, I can't work that cheap but please keep me in mind if you
ever need quality embroidery. I love the idea of the jacket with the quote
underneath. Almost worth making one up for the cause. Embroidery has been
around as long as clothing. It use to symbolize the tribe or village one
belonged to. Then it grew into elegance and was attained only by spending lots
of money on a garment to symbolize status and success, or royalty. Somewhere
along the time line, it got main streamed and mass-produced at cheap prices at
cheap labor. Equals - poor quality and poor workmanship. I think we need to get
it back on track and I'm happy to see that others are in agreement and doing
their part. Embroidery is an art, not a money-making scheme to get rich quick.
