Wendy,
Regarding the Maderia thread not fitting on the machine. The only
problem there is, is that the rods are to small. They need to stick out
the of the top of the cone alittle and the Maderia company makes the cones
tall not short and wide. We ordered longer rods from Melco cause Maderia
is the only thread we use and it works great I love it. I have been with
two different companies within the last 6 years and that is the thread of my
choice.
 Best regards,
