Ruth, use a ballpoint on anything knit and a sharp on woven fabrics. A 75/11
is a medium weight needle for most things. If sewing on heavy fabrics like
Carhart jackets, etc. go to a heavier needle. Lightweight stuff like linen
handkerchiefs, use a 65/9.
