Hello, Greenwing has just posted in the Machines & Hardware forum of AmayaUsers Discussion Boards under the title of Needle Durability. This thread is located at http://www.amayausers.com/discussion/showthread.php?5537-Needle-Durability Here is the message that has just been posted: *************** Your going to hate this answer Until it is dull or bent, broken burred. Now with that said... If I get any sewing change thread breaks shredding poor stitch quality ect... I change the needle If I have a need for a thin or thick needle I change the needle ( I never reuse a needle ) once it is out it is out. I do keep a needle log with date & stitch count it shows that I get from 100,000 to 1,500,000 stitches out of a needle BP more then sharps. BUT I change as needed and that is my only rule. If there is an issue the needle gets changed. it is the least expensive part of our machines and the one with the most ware. TAKE NOTE I ONLY GO THROUGH ABOUT 30 NEEDLES A YEAR Unless I am doing the annual maintenance When I change them all. I know this does not tell you much..
