Remember a Mock turtle
unlike a regular turtle neck doesn't "Usually"
fit tight against the neck, even a t-shirt
collar usually fits tighter. So I would use
tear-away.
At least that's what we have always used.

I am sewing block letters on a mock turtle neck collar. What backing would you use? I was going to use tear away. Tear away might be too rough.....
