When you run hats, are you sure to turn off your bobbin detector setting.
It has to do with the friction created as the thread passes through the
thicker hat material - sort of disrupts the bobbin thread detector sensor.
Hence, turn this feature off when running hats under the "Settings" tab.
I'm guessing this is why your machine is stopping??? If not, what does it
say is the reason for the machine stopping on the screen?

Subject: [amayausers] Machine Stops

Last night I ran hats until I couldn't see and they were running great!!!
Sound familiar...this morning...everything is set the same, same hat,
everything; however, the machine keeps stopping--the thread is not broken, I
even changed the bobbin, I just have to keep starting it again, it sews more
then stops again. Any clues?
