My first thought is to yank the bobbin holder out, totally clean it, check the tension, and start with a new spool for bobbin thread. Also pull the needle plate off, really clean inside there-look for thread stuck in there. Clean and check everything to do with the bobbin-so you can eliminate that as a suspect when you do a test run. Yes, once in awhile you can hit a 'bad' spool. The way this is random makes me think it is bobbin problem-maybe some lint stuck in the tension bar or the 'pigtail' causing it to get too tight, or forcing the tension bar 'up' so there isn't enough tension- causing the birdnesting underneath. If it was always the same needle you look for burr on the needle tip, worn needle, needle bar out of alignment, etc. but happening on different needles to me sounds like bobbin! Throw some scrap in to test it out after you change and see what happens. =========================================================== The AmayaUsers Mailing List Website: http://www.amayausers.com Discussion Board: http://www.amayausers.com/boards Subscribe/Unsubscribe: http://www.amayausers.com/list ===========================================================
