Dave, Sharon and I have put some rather large designs on satin jackets and not had any problem. It is a good idea to check your needles and make sure they do no have any burrs on them, we used sharp pointed 75/11 . To keep the satin from slipping we used the rubber shelf lining to wrap our hoops. We didn't wrap the entire hoop but the only hoops we have used are the jacket back size on satin so far. But wraping the hoop is the key to keeping the hoop burn down and keep it from slipping .
