I just loaded the new V9 Amaya OS on my computer. The new Design Registration
feature is a great idea! I just watched the short video on how it's used. What
a useful feature.
For those without V9, it basically allows you to align your design to the
hooped garment. The video demonstrated a pocket that was hooped at a slant.
Using the hoop movement keys and the laser you can set the angle (in this case
the top of the pocket) to sew at. Once set the OS displays the design at the
new angle.
I am anxious to see how well this works on caps when trying to sew the full sew
field. I was told by my trainers that it is very difficult to use the full
field because of alignment issues. Looking forward to see if I can mitigate
those issues using this feature.
