If my memory serves me right, the Test Sewout Mode button has more to do with the Reports section of the software than anything else. What I mean is that some companies live and die by what the reports that are generated by the Amaya OS software. These reports tell them about their production, machine, and staff performance. When you choose the test sewout mode, it does not log the design you are sewing as part of your production run which would throw off the report data info. Understanding that this sewout is just a practice run. If you are looking for test designs to sew, there is a folder containing a few test designs approved by melco on your hard drive. C\Program Files\Melco\Amaya\Test Designs Hoping this helps.
