Adjust the density number upward to 20 or above or whatever suits your fancy..... Then use your "Stitch Direction Editing Tool" to lean the stitches for the desired effect. Once you get one completed and if there are others in the design that will be the same size, you can duplicate the column, rotate and move it to the desired position or if need be, mirror image it....lots of options here... Oh yes...the centerline....just add an automatic " centerwalk " underlay and adjust the stitch length to whatever suits you..... Ian was right on the money for how to do this.....
