Hi Sarah,
The previous topic here was about BNI (Business Network International).  You 
might check and see if there are chapters in your area.  They normally meet 
once a week and are a great way to get your name out.  Also, you might look 
into membership with the local chamber of commerce.
Our local paper puts out a welcome edition to new residence in our communities 
once a year.  It lists alot of the clubs and organizations in the area.  That 
might be a way to connect with groups that you otherwise wouldn't have contact 
with.  Also the chamber might have information on clubs and groups.  Just some 
ideas.
