Find a very similar scrap & try density of 5 to 5.5 to start on the columns, 
keep the underlay stitches short (12-15 pts.)- you will have to use column 
width adjustment, most likely.  For backing, I would use two sheets of 1.5 oz. 
of cut-away & solvy on top if there is any nap or pique.
