Admission : $15 ( per person ) Children under 10 years is free *Ariste"s Profiles:* *Samarth Nagarkar * is a disciple of *Pandit Ulhas Kashalkar* and *Pandit Dinkar Kaikini* and a former *Grade A scholar of the ITC Sangeet Research Academy, Kolkata*. His repertoire encompasses the styles, ragas and compositions of three prominent gharanas – *Gwalior, Agra and Jaipur*. He has performed in several noted music festivals and venues in India and the USA such as the ITC Sangeet Sammelan, Bangalore & Kanpur, Devnandan Ubhayakar Yuva Sangeet Utsav, Bangalore, Habitat Center, Delhi, N.C.P.A., Mumbai, The Ali Akbar College of Music, California and Universities such as Stanford, Indiana, UT Southwestern and PUS among others. Most Notable among the awards and accolades he received is the *President’s Award for 1st prize in the All India Radio National Music Competition, 2000. * A former head of K. K. Kapoor Sangeet Research Academy, Lucknow, Samarth is also known for his articulate and comprehensive lecture-demonstration and interactive workshops on Indian Music. Currently based in New York, apart from concert performances he also teaches vocal music at a few reputed institutions. Known for his authentic, sensitive and traditionally rich approach towards raagdaari and gayki and described by critics as one of India’s most promising young artistes, Samarth Nagarkar is believed to be on his way to becoming one of the foremost torchbearers of the traditions he represents. *Shri** Ramchandra Joshi* is an accomplished vocalist and harmonium player, residing in Edison, New Jersey. He is a Graded Artist At All India Radio Mumbai India and Topped 2 nd in All India, in All India Level music competition held by " Akashvani" i.e All India Radio (AIR) in 1994 in Light Classical Vocal music category. · Guidance from well known and leading vocalist of Gwalior Gharana * Dr.Veena** Sahasrabuddhe*based in Pune (India) · Initiated in Music at the age of 8 years started learning Indian classical music from "SangeetMahabharati" mumbai founded by *Late Pt.Nikhil Ghosh* · At "Sangeet Mahabharati" trained under *Mrs.Krishna** Mukherjee* who happens to be disciple of well known exponent "*Begum Parveen Sultana*" · Taken Lessons from *Mrs.Sraboni** Mukherjee* in Light Classical Music like "Thumari","Hori" who is disciple of Well known "Thumari" exponent "*Mrs** Shobha Gurtu*". He has performed at various places in India , USA and UK and Switzerland. and also Harmonium Solo and Vocal Recitals broadcasted on All India Radio Mumbai Kendra from 1994 too 1999. *Ken Zuckerman*, internationally acclaimed as one of the finest sarod virtuosos performing today, has also been called “…one of the world’s most eclectic masters of improvisation.” He completed thirty-seven years of training under the rigorous discipline of India’s legendary sarod master Ustad Ali Akbar Khan, up to the maestro’s passing in June 2009. He also performed with Maestro Khan in numerous concerts in Europe, India, and the United States.In addition to his extensive performance schedule, Ken Zuckerman has directed the Ali Akbar College of Music in Switzerland for 24 years and is also a professor at the Music Conservatory of Basel where he conducts courses in both North Indian classical music and the music of the Middle Ages. *Anirban Roy Chowdhury *..The lineage of Punjab Gharana (Ustad Allah Rakha, Ustad Zakir Hussain, Pandit Yogesh Shamsi). He is a Sangeet Visharad (Bachelor of Music) in tabla from Bhatkhande Sangeet Mahavidyalaya Lucknow & Sangeet Nipun (Masters of Music) from Ravindra Bharati University Kolkatta. Anirban has accompanied several leading classical artistes like legendary flute Maestro Pandit Hariprasdhad Chaurasia, Rakesh Chaurasia, Pandit Dinkar Kaikani Pandit Tarun Bhattacharya, Grammy Winner Pandit Vishwa Mohan Bhatt, Grammy Nominee Mrs. Chandrika Tandon and light vocal artistes like Anup Jalota and Pankaj Udas. Aniban has also been regularly composing rhythms for famous Bollywood composer Jatin- Lalit. *Shri.
