Follow the steps below to downgrade Internet Explorer to a previous version. 1. Open the start menu. 2. In the search box type "View Installed Updates" and press Enter to open the View Installed Updates windows. 3. Wait a few moments for the list of installed updates to populate completely. 4. Use the up and down arrow keys to go through the list. It can be quite long. For Internet Explorer 11, look for an entry called "Internet Explorer 11". I think the update for for IE 10 is called "Windows Internet Explorer 10". 5. Once you've selected the Internet Explorer Update, press the application key or Shift-F10 to open the context menu. It should only have one choice, "Uninstall". Press Enter, then press Y for yes when asked are you sure? 6. It will take a few minutes to uninstall IE. When done you will be prompted to reboot the computer. After you reboot the computer the previous version of IE will be active on your computer. This is not necessarily the next version down. For example, if you had IE 9 and Windows skipped IE 10 when your system upgraded to IE 11, your system will revert to IE 9, not 10. Once you remove an IE update, it will be listed in your optional updates and should not get applied again automatically. If you had IE 11 and downgraded to IE 10, repeat the steps above to downgrade to IE 9 if you want. This will only work until IE 12 comes out. Once that comes out it is likely that your computer will automatically update again and you will need to repeat these steps to remove IE 12 if necessary.
