Thank you for the feedback. It is still a proposal here. We are going to
submit a petition to the Election Commisioner for it.

  With best regards,
  Amiyo.

election commissioner is the person concerned. How ever, approaching
election commission through disability commision would be more effective.
    thanks

    Hello,

To whom shall we represent for ballot sheet in Braille? As you all know
that election for Tamil Nadu will also be held in the month of May.

    With regards,

    Gopalakrishnan

My polling booth had electronic voting machines during the last few years
and on the last occasion I had asked for a braille candidate list. It was
immediately given to me and I could check the name aginst the number.
To be honest I asked for the list because it needed to be recorded how
many people asked for braille lists. If we dont ask for braille list then
maybe they will discontinue making them.
This victory had been won from the courts after a lot of hard work by
some of our friends and we all needed to show that we are using it.
      One more step towards independence.
Advise your friends in West Bengal to ask for the list at every polling
booth.

        Hello,

Nilesh informed us on the list in December 2004 of a high court order
asking for some facilities for ph voters. These include ramp for wheel chairs
and braille on ballot papers. Has anybody used these facilities, particularly
braille ballot? This is likely to be introduced in West Bengal in the assembly
election in next April. We are thinking of writing to the Election Commissioner
for certain help. Would you please share your experience?

Our members have noticed that if the poling officer once shows to a
blind voter the buttons, he can easily remember the necessary button by touch
and push it to caste his bvote without anybody's assistance. How do you think
of it?

        With best regards,
        Amiyo.
