Disabled group to start departmental store=20

PONDICHERRY, MARCH 13. The Pondicherry-based Physically =
Handicapped Welfare Society is starting a multi-departmental store here =
on March 16. Briefing newsmen, the society president, V. Saravanan, said =
here on Saturday that the society, with a strength of 200 =
physically-challenged persons, would invest around Rs. 2 lakhs. If bank =
funding was made available, the society would expand its activities.=20
Mr. Saravanan said the venture was intended to provide jobs and =
infuse self-confidence among the disabled. The society would ascertain =
the monthly requirements of the residents in their areas and deliver the =
goods at their doorsteps.=20
He said the society would ensure quality supplies and punctual =
service.=20
