I would recommend either the Media Creation Tool or the Upgrade
assistant.
You can download either using this link on the Microsoft website:-
https://www.microsoft.com/en-gb/software-download/windows10
The first download button you will encounter is "Update now", this is
for the Upgrade Assistant. The second is the Media Creation Tool, text
"Download tool now". Once you have downloaded one of the tools, run it
to start the process where you will go through a few prompts before the
install will begin.
You might want to ask someone to help you because part of the
installation takes place "outside" Windows and with these things it's a
good thing to know everything that is happening. You won't be prompted
for anything during that phase as the installation should proceed
normally with periodic restarts, it's for a "just in case"
scenario--touch wood.
Remember to make all the usual backups beforehand, creating a system
image is also recommended.

already have the Anniversary Update?
Or do you mean that you have yet to download the Anniversary Update
but it is yet to show in Windows Update?

One way to check your version of Windows is to select the start
button, type 'winver' without quotes and hit enter. 'Winver' stands
for Windows Version, just so you know.
A dialog box will appear confirming the version, build, year of
build and copyright text. It should confirm that it is Windows 10.
Click OK to exit the dialog.
Cortana is available from the keyboard by clicking the start button
and typing or by saying "Hey Cortana" with a microphone. If there
is no sign of it, try the following link for more info on how to
turn it on:-
