Hi Adrien,

Every time you plug into a different port, it allocates a different port
number. So if you tried each port, you would get the hardware found message
with each of them. But only once.

All the best

Hi

Please could somebody explain to me why all my usb devices keep bringing up
the found new hardware manager? For example, if I plug my toshiba flash
drive in to it's normal port it works ok but if I plug it into a usb hub on
the same hub it brings up the found new hardware program. I have just
plugged in my mini usb mouse on a hub on my laptop and it brought up the
found new hardware program and I switched it onto another port on the same
hub and it brought up the found new hardware thing again, why is it doing
this? Is there not a generic driver for all usb devices?

Regards

Adrien
