The Canon Ixus range have good screens which are around 2.5 inch (about as big as they get really in digital cameras). The fonts are not especially large, however the mode switch on many of them is a clickstop wheel allowing you to select various shooting/playback modes and to this extent will provide some control from fully automatic right down to fully manual control without recourse to onscreen menus. For the latter "manual" mode however you will need to interact with the display and this is where one may become a cropper depending on vision, but they have done a good job of making it as easy as possible. I have an Ixus 750 but the less dear models have much the same features and may if intending for just snaps and automatic operation be a better bet anyway. The present unit is I have is both lighter, with larger screen and easier to use than my previous Olympus I brought over three years ago such is the progress of these things. Regards. Large font menus, bigger screens, or whatever it takes? Any thoughts much appreciated.
