I did it last night, but was very careful and only unchecked the applications
when I was certain what they were. So far, there doesn't seem to be a problem.
In fact, my computer seems a bit faster. It was getting really slow especially
since I started running Windows Messenger.

  Hi Shay.

If your an expert and know the executable names of the programs, you can use
the windows default tool msconfig to help you control the startup entries. If
you want a more understandable list, download Auslogics BoostSpeed which has a
startup manager from www.auslogics.com. It will show you what applications are
loading and more importantly you can sort by resource use and a number of other
factors.

  Hope this helps, Ibrahim.

    Hi,
There are too many programs starting when I start my computer. I want to
find out which ones are starting and disable the ones I don't need to start.
Does anyone know a relatively simple way to do this? I have a feeling that I
should know, but I can't seem to think of where to go to find the appropriate
menus. Thanks for any suggestions.
