Hi Andy,

Google maps gives pedestrian turn by turn in Android, but I am not sure
about Apple as I haven't tried it.

All the best

Steve

Steve -

Just searched for Google Maps in the app store, and got loads of hits, not
just Google maps, but lots of other stuff pertaining to Google maps. A bit
confusing. Am I right however in thinking that Google maps like Apple maps,
does not give turn-by-turn instruction in pedestrian mode? For me, if that
is the case, then no point in choosing Google over Apple, as I have found
the native app to be excellent in car, and very good on foot for informing
of upcoming road. I'm very reluctant to spend 60 quid on Navigon, to get
turn-by-turn, and not sure how up-to-date Navigon maps are, after all,
aren't they part of Garmin? I have found Garmin to be very poor, in-car, at
least! -

Andy
