does the ipod have a camera on it?

if so try tap tap see, if you take a photo of it and its clear enough 
there's a chance that tap tap see might be able to read the numbers on the 
meter for you, there's another one and i think its called vis wis and you 
take a photo with that and then you can send it to a web worker with a 
messaging asking for what you want and they'll hopefully reply with the info
