Hello George. Yes, I have contacted Olympus and they suggested to ring back
when someone is with me. I had to put the DS50 in the computer and we went
into
the properties of the programme. I think the lady was trying to look at the
driver situation so we must try again later. I am going away on Friday so I
will forget about it until I get back. Your first question about installing
the
programme again. The only thing to install is the software and that is already
in. One more point George. After that message leaves the screen it is
replaced
by the message. DRG to DISC which I presume is something to do with Roxio CD
Creator?

Incidentally, when I tried to uninstall the software I got a message that a
file
was being shared and deleting it might upset other applications. Or something
like that so I cancelled.

Thanks for trying George, I will let the list know how I get on when I get back.

Regards

Ron

Hi Ron,

I've done a fairly through search for that .dll file, even
tried variations like "dirrectAPI.dll", but am coming up
with nothing.

I presume re-installing hasn't worked either?

Have you tried contacting Olympus?

George.

Hello George, is this what you need?

    Directrecconfig.exe- unable to locate component
this application has failed to start because DirrecAPI.DLL
was not found.
Reinstalling the application may fix this problem.

This is an exact copy from the screen.

Cheers

Ron
